Publics of Art and Design: The Twenty-Third Annual Graduate Student Symposium on the Decorative Arts and Design
Posted on March 19, 2014 | posted by:The Twenty- Third Annual Voorsanger Symposium: The Publics of Art and Design will feature a keynote address by Professor Michele Bogart of Stony Brook University, and papers delivered by graduate students and faculty from universities around the world.
A series of papers will explore questions of how design is a dialogue between objects and different publics. The symposium will address questions of public sentiment, religion, and the architecture of public buildings with an especial focus on the functions of museums and other art and design display spaces.
The symposium will run April 10th 5.30 pm-7.30 pm to April 11th 10.30 am-4.30 pm at 55 W 13th Arnold Hall, in the Dorothy Hirshon Suite.
