Upcoming Panel Discussion: Pixelated Politics

Rabih Mroué_The Fall of a Hair_Blow ups_ 2012Pixelated Politics: Still and Moving Images in the Digital Age considers the critical role that the newly emerging 21st century typology of low-resolution digital images plays in recording history, and the velocity with which such visual information is shared through communication platforms like YouTube and Flicker. The event will take place at The Graduate Center in the Martin E. Segal Theater on Tuesday, April 9th at 6:30 pm, and will feature presentations by scholars, artists and filmmakers including Nicholas Mirzoeff, Christiane Paul, Lev Manovich, Mariam Ghani, McKenzie Wark, and Natalie Musteata.
