F.I.T. Ivy Style Symposium 2012
From Thursday November 8, 2012 – Friday November 9, 2012, the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology is hosting its 12th fashion symposium, Ivy Style. The students from the MA Fashion Studies program have been invited to attend.
From the Museum at F.I.T. :
The Museum at FIT is pleased to present its 12th annual Symposium Ivy Style featuring noted scholars and industry professionals from a range of disciplines and international perspectives, who will be focusing on “ivy” style in global fashion. Included will be lectures on major figures in menswear – including the Duke of Windsor— who made the look their own, and designers such as Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and Thom Browne, who have made it resonate with new generations of style enthusiasts. We very much wish to encourage students, faculty and staff to attend. Admission is free of charge for all students, and students must show their school I.D.
The symposium will be held November 8th and 9th in the Haft Auditorium.
Professors are especially welcome to bring their classes to this innovative learning experience. We ask them to please send us a list of their students. Each professor will receive a confirmation and registration number for each student registered. We ask you to encourage your students to pre-register, as registration at the door can be time consuming and slow down the check-in process.
We look forward to seeing you at the event. Below you will find the updated schedule of the symposium. (Please note schedule is subject to change, it will be updated on the MFIT website).
