On Tuesday, November 18 at 8PM in the Kaufmann Concert Hall on 92nd Street and Lexington Avenue, Fern Mallis will host another installment of her “Fashion Icons” series with legendary designer Valentino Garavani. Mallis, creator and organizer of New York Fashion Week and president of her own design consultancy, will converse with Valentino about his illustrious career arc, from his beginnings as a dress designer to his role as the face of one of the most notable fashion brands in contemporary culture. Valentino will also talk about his 2008 retirement from the world of fashion design and his more recent endeavors, such as the launch of a virtual archive of his designs in 2011.
