Fashion, Style & Popular Culture is calling for papers for two upcoming special issues.
“Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) Fashion and Style” will explore the intersections between sexual identity and fashion, focusing on the way LGBTQ people use style to navigate their social positions and identities. Papers taking an interdisciplinary approach to this topic are welcomed and encouraged.
“Masculinities,” a joint issue with the journal Critical Studies in Men’s Fashion, will examine the fluidity and multitudinous of gender expression in personal style, welcoming papers that analyze the ways masculinity is typified and enacted through fashion.
