Scholars of the decorative arts, art history and related fields will present papers will such issues as privacy and private space; the secret life of objects; and hidden compartments and secret spaces.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Carolyn Sargentson, former Head of the Research Department of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and author of Merchants and Luxury Markets: The Marchands Merciers of Eighteenth-Century Paris (1996) among many other works.
