On Thursday December 14th alumni from the MA Fashion Studies came back to campus to share their experiences in a panel titled “Beyond the Academy,” which was organized by MAFS Director, Francesca Granata. The alumni discussed their current work and how it was informed by their study in the program. Eliza Dillard MAFS 2015 discussed her work as copywriter at Time Inc., and previously Refinery 29. Ann Jacoby MAFS 2013 spoke about her time working at the Conde Nast Archives, and her current position as Fashion Editor at InStyle. Neil Wu talked about his ongoing curatorial projects and his new position as Curator of Costume for Marvel. Finally Carly-Ann Fergus spoke about the innovative work she oversees as Director of the XRC Labs.
