Laura Auricchio recently served as a panel discussant after the panel “Gender Studies and Body Politics,” which was part of the conference “Longer in Exile: The Legacy and Future of Gender Studies at The New School” on March 3, 2010.
This event celebrated the return of Gender Studies to The New School and explored what the university will gain from this new undertaking. Leading scholars in the field, along with New School faculty and students, explored the rich institutional and intellectual history of the interdisciplinary field of Gender Studies and speculate about the variety of directions it will take at The New School.
