In this open info session, George Smith and Simonetta Moro, President and Director of the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts, will introduce IDSVA to Parsons students and faculty.
IDSVA is the first and only PhD program in philosophy, aesthetics, and art theory designed especially for practicing artists and creative scholars. IDSVA’s one of a kind topological studies curriculum blends distance learning and international residency intensives. Visiting faculty include world-class scholars, philosophers, and artists. Residencies sites include Spannocchia Castle in Tuscany, the Venice Biennale, Berlin, Paris, New York City, and Istanbul.
