The School of Art and Design History and Theory will be represented at the 100th Anniversary of the College Art Association at the conference venue in Los Angeles this year. Hazel Clark will present “Contemporary Fashion History in Museums: A Case Study of MoMu, the Fashion Museum of the Province of Antwerp,” on the panel Deconstructing Costume Histories: Rereading Identities in Fashion Collections and Exhibitions. Rosemary O’Neill will present “Été 70: the plein-air exhibitions of Supports-Surfaces” on the panel Avant ’68: France and the Transnational Flow of Culture in the “Long Sixties.”
In addition to conference presentations, CAA Professionals Interests, Practices, and Standards Committee and Publications Committees meet at this national event. Janet Kraynak is currently serving on the caa reviews Board as a field editor and Rosemary O’Neill has been appointed to the International Committee for a three year term.
